Well, Marta, congratulations <LOL> It looks like you are an empath.

Some empaths have very specific vibrations that they pick up, and

others pick up *everything*... so, comparatively, I'd consider myself

lucky to get just active trigger points. What you seem to be keying

into is the emotional trigger for the physical trigger point. Your

intuition was correct, it is stored pain or feelings that have not

been released.

It is excellent that you are considering your grounding; if you were

not well grounded, you might actually find yourself carrying that

emotion or pain away from the table with you (ick, ick, ick) and

having to do a lot of clearing to get back to your normal state.

The best I can offer you (since I have this, er, gift, myself) is that

you can do a preparation step when you get ready for a session of

affirming to yourself that if you perceive any pain, thoughts, or

emotions of the client, it will be clear that they belong to the

client and will not affect you. This sometimes works ;-) Often, I end

up in a session sorting thoughts out, recentering in order to filter

what is theirs and what is mine. It is part of the intimate

interaction of your fields during the session, the 'zone' to a degree,

it can't be completely shut off without losing some of the essence of

the healing work.

Another thing you can do is to be frank with the client, and tell them

that you are sensing a deep emotion or pain related to the trigger

point, and ask if that resonates with them. Beware, though, if you are

not ready to deal with the possibility of releasing and processing

from your client. Once they have permission, they may start weeping or

talking a blue streak themselves.

Hi All,

Just want to add to Caro's fine advice, something that is part of

every session for me,and that is a thorough cold water hand rinse to

make certain that none of the clients " negative energy " , such as the

emotional or physical pain, stays with me. I even go as far as to

splash cold water on my face, and with cupped hands, do a slight in-

hale of the water part way up the nostrils. I was taught this method

in massage school; but didn't begin to utilize it until after a few

" bad " sessions where I was carrying the " icky " stuff with me, away

from the table, or worse yet, to the next client getting on my table.

Naturally, it is important to follow the cold rinse, with a good hand

wash, and I use an antibacterial soap and warm water for that. On a

particularly busy day, or where one client may have presented/released

a great deal of stuff, I take an additional shower that evening, and

start out with a cool water rinse to be sure to clear any lingering

energy residue.

Hope you find this helpful,

Barbara
