Sounds like you may not be as grounded as you should be prior to working with

a client. Take care - you may be taking on more than their emotions if you

are not grounded properly. I'll leave it to those with better teaching

backgrounds to let you know some techniques which may work for you.

Whenever I am on an active (usually it's *the* active) trigger point, I

get weepy and unsettled until I can come off of it (so I wait for them

to tell me it's easing and am happy when it happens quickly). I start

to feel weepy BEFORE they tell me that I'm in the precise spot that

duplicates whatever their pain is so I don't think I'm talking myself

into it after the fact.. do they have emotion stored in their pain that

I'm getting? In general, I feel very well-grounded while I am doing

massage; and confess, at the same time, that the rest of my life is not

feeling so well-grounded. I do feel fully present while I am working

though. I noticed it first with my tendenitis violinist client and then

with a " deltoid bursitis " client and again with an SCM tp person. It

doesn't happen on latent, satellite or secondary TPs, just the major

ones. It doesn't thrill me.

Is the weepy feeling coming from the client or from me? Just asking for

ideas. If it is coming from the client, suggestions for ways to block

it? or disperse it? Ideas about what is happening?
