one or two thoughts back

LSD is NOT a synthetic[it is now made in a lab] but is a natural

substance and was discovered by accident in a lab. synthisizing is a

heck of a lot better than scraping rye and barley in the field trying to

get some ergot see if it has rotted correctly so that it may have some

lsd in it-- [like trying to grow your own penicillin by putting bread on

the window sill] this does not make it any better or worse than chomping

mushrooms or cactus. But " natural " is not always better.

And there is nothing, nothing LIKE LSD. it keeps you trapped while it is

working like a roller coaster--you cant get off. with other ways you

can get off anytime.

and the residual chemical/body crap is not there.

there are many traditions as been mentioned to get where you want to go,

you dont need the rocket.

Set and Setting have been discussed and this is sadly lacking in the

US-maybe most western countries-as in traditional societies. but may I

suggest the writtings and tapes of Ram Dass [richard Alpert] one of the

original LSD tripers?[with Leary]. this is ONE case of acid opening up

the doors and creative craziness. His teachings are easily accessable,

in fact his tapes are on sale at Costco[sams clubs in other areas, and

superstore in the UK are the same]-next to the tax advice books which I

thought was brilliant serendipity.
