Guest guest
My last name is Maynard and the first time the adage taught in church about not taking the lord's name in vain hit me was when I was in a mall somewhere out of state and I heard this teenager says Jesus Christ something or other ... his mom corrected him and he then says well by Maynard I have had it. I swear it literally hurt to have my name used that way. Now I am not 100% perfect at not using the lord's name in vain, but I am far far more mindful of it. We pronounce it MAY NERD when it hear it announced MAY NARD I tend to look around and think who? And Brenda supposedly is Celtic for flaming sword of the spirit. I like that label.
