Hi, I'm newly d. I get the list in Digest form and have two

days worth. My name is Michelle and I live in Philadelphia. I have

very speckled experience in the mind/body field - what I mean is

varied. I'll do a more proper introduction another time.

I was wondering if Ged could tell us more about what techniques s/he

was using in respect to Reich? I have some experience with Core

Energetics (Pierrakos, Lowen)and would be interested to hear more.

Also, there is a Core Energetics organization in New York that Ged

might want to get in touch with to get more info and referrals, etc.

Nothing too wild - on this occassion it was deep finger compression on the

solar plexus. I keep my own pressure static and ask the client to breathe

into my hands as much or as little as they want. This guy had some pretty

heavy grief issues and really went for it. Like I said, he cried for an

hour and left the session saying he felt free and released. Me, I felt like

a holiday.

I've had similar, but thankfully less dramatic results working on the

scalenes and capitii. There's a thread on the bodywork group about pain (I

lose track of who's talking about what sometimes) - I tend to find the best

results come from the pain/not pain level of a really good stretch; anything

beyond that and we're heading for issues. Right now I'm developing hip and

psoas work - I have really neglected the hips' ability to lock up the whole

back and neck.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I'm 5,000 miles away from NY but I'd still

be interested in looking at their work - do they have a web page?

And I have a question to ask - there's a thread in the Bodywork group about

marketing which has mentioned newsletters which sound a superb idea - I'd

like to know if anyone has used them and if they have if they would be

willing to let me see an example.
