Nice to meet you again. Would you mind telling us a bit more of that experience of yours? How have you come to the capability of getting that inner image of how each chakra looks like? I guess it must have been quite a travel, and, if that's ok with you, i really would like to know about it. How you've got to that, what it meant to you, how it helped or changed anything in your life, how useful, etc... Ah, and how you scrub ;-) Where did i leave my purple-flame-brush again ;-) (joking, but seriously and with all respect. i do have one > Re: Personal Totems > > Your saying this made me remember a book I have in a box somewhere and can't > find <LOL> Personal Totem Pole : Animal Imagery the Chakras and Psychotherapy > by Eligio Stephen Gallegos. I have looked up the book at Amazon, and not surprinsigly, it doesn't have a review or anything to get a catch at it. Could you say a bit more of what's in the book, or what orientation it has (what previous knowledge should be have, or if it is theorical, practical, or whatever) or anything else you'd want to say. > RevFlammia > Dark corners as fun... > > If I knew you better, I would recommend something. A couple of years ago, while surfing the 'net, I found a good page on chakra meditations, and printed up the instructions for myself. Now, the bookmark has long been lost, and the printed page vanished, LOL, but I remember MY version of it. The essentials are that you find a quiet time and place and focus your attention on each chakra, breathing deeply as you do, and try to 'see' with your mind's eye. >How have you come to the capability of getting that inner image of how each >chakra looks like? I guess it must have been quite a travel, and, if that's >ok with you, i really would like to know about it. How you've got to that, >what it meant to you, how it helped or changed anything in your life, how >useful, etc... Ah, and how you scrub ;-) The capability came with practice...actually, the ability became REFINED with practice, because I remember having a distinct sensation of 'seeing' each chakra. Some were brighter, some had that charcoal cover I mentioned. The first time I tried it, the base chakra seemed to me to be in pretty bad shape, appearing in my mind like an ember in a fire that is dying out...mostly black with a hint of red glow in the centre. So I did a visualization of the fire expanding, and sloughing off the black cinders. And, oddly enough, I felt better...not physically, but as though I'd done something good...it's really hard to explain. Anyway, I just work my way from the base up through each one, studying, focussing...and the scrubbing is a vivid visualization of whatever method you prefer for restoring fine gem stones to their brightest and best. >Where did i leave my purple-flame-brush again ;-) (joking, but seriously and >with all respect. i do have one Brushes are good for cleaning, retouching colour...all kinds of good stuff. Guest guest
the book sounds good on chakras, but not to someone who has absolutely no money. Is there a chakra meditation tape that someone knows about or video that can be seen for a rental fee, or ???????? I know my chakras are badly in need of alignment and I am suffering from a severe illness, and no matter what I do, my life just keeps being stressful and full of despair SIncerely, Owllights i do not get ICQ but I can go to www
