Guest guest
Cas, Erich Schiffmann ( http://www.movingintostillness.com/teach.htm ) is the master teacher on this Yoga video starring Ali McGraw. It is only 12.99 from Amazon and if one does it for two weeks 6 days a week...it will definitely open up the tight areas in your body... It causes some kind of shift mentally also and I cannot figure out it does it but it does; Shifted my husband, me and also my two step-daughters... all of us were more peaceful inside. It has 29 reviews and 25 of them are positive. One shouldn't try to do the stetches all the way in the beginning but rather just within your limits..with a little push. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/6303243606/qid%3D923883329/002-6923042-51\ 62655 Many Blessings, Sherri

I think the shift may be two-fold in nature. From the mental aspect: we devote time to ourselves, thus honoring who we are. Though physical in nature, the breath is something that we experience within ourselves, thus opening the possibility of moving inward mentally. From the physical aspect: with proper breathing, we take in more oxygen, which, in turn, allows of each cells to function closer toward their optimum. When the body begins to function better, we begin to feel better. But then, what do I know? This is just one Man's theory.......... Mandy, All you say is true, however something about the body postures seem to open up areas of the body where they were locked or something. I can do a Firm workout tape (very good for the body and such) and it doesn't do the same as the Yoga tape. When doing the Firm I 'feel' better but the Yoga makes me shift into a more peaceful mentality with or without breathing correctly. It is positively weird. I told my Co-Chair at work I had to quit doing the Yoga and he asked 'why?' and I said " it is changing me mentally and I am starting to LIKE my job and its scary " . rof He said; " that IS scary " . rof Sherri
