Guest guest
Dear John, Many diabetics have found Reiki to help a great deal in addition to other therapies. If you'd like an attunement so you can work on yourself, feel free to contact me. If you have no idea what I am talking about you can find out about Reiki lots of places on the web. I have a resources page started at my website that has good links to online manuals as well. http://www.angelfire.com/on2/energyhealing/reikiresources.html Basically the way it works is you get an attunement and you work on yourself by putting your hands on yourself. Also many have found chromium picolinate immensely helpful but since it affects the amount of insulin one might have to take, sugar levels have to be closely monitored and a Dr. should be consulted. Love and Light, Linda Vaughan, RMT http://www.angelfire.com/on2/energyhealing >>I was diagnosed a diabetic in early 99 and I believe through the " power >>within me " that I can beat this disease (just like Louise beat her cancer >>diagnoses)!! I live in New York City and I would love to find out if there >>are any groups that meet on a regular or semi-regular basis where I can learn >>more about this self-healing process, meditation, etc. Any information would >>be greatly appreciated. >> >>John
Guest guest
Hi John, > Nevertheless, I still believe that through the " mind-body " connection there is a cure for all diseases... > I'd have to agree, to a point. Sometimes our disease(s) has become manifest in order for us to learn a " lesson " . Until we learn that lesson, we are likely to maintain the condition of dis-ease. On a more personal note, I had Crohn's disease that required a regimen of 100 milligrams of Prednisone each day. Not a good thing. It was becoming more than I was willing to tolerate so I decided that I would cycle of the Prednisone and not take the drug anymore, regardless of any pain that might present itself. I had decided that it was *my* body, and *my* choice to suffer with the Chron's disease or not. I chose not to suffer. I have since been free of the disease (since 1995), a disease I was told that was progressive and degenerative. Mani
Guest guest
Hi John! Yup...definitely a tighter link between psychology and physiology than there once was. Way back when I was in grad school, there were two camps: the humanists and structuralists...we were kinda like Republicans and Democrats, believing we were 100% correct and the other group was 100% fulla baloney (I was in the structuralist group). Over the time of my practice, many of the problems we blamed on mom, dad, and the culture were found to have biochemical links strongly influenced by emotions. I'm working on an e-book as we speak. I've got it written, and about 3/4 done with the linking--I'll let you know when I get it online.
