Guest guest
Patti: I spoke to Anu on AIM today, and she seemed to think it was appropriate to let the members of Body_Work know that this list is here, as full blown discussions of this type may not be appropriate to that list. Glad to salute you again. I am usually too busy to read the lists, but anyway, i miss it a lot so i decided to go " live " again. I had been screening the archives before that. But then, just when i do that, all activity seemed to stop. I can't posibly have done that, can i? ;-) Since july 5 there is no more mails, no more digest, no more archive. Something bad must be happening, i guess. I hope i am wrong, but am i really? With the best wishes for you continuing work as list mom for the 2 best lists i know, in peace, Alain. -----Mensaje original----- De: -owner [sMTP:-owner ] Enviado el: martes 13 de julio de 1999 16:47 Para: agougeon Asunto: Welcome to Greetings! Guest guest
Olivia, Can you explain " internal qi gong " I've been doing qi gong exercises and have been looking for information on breathing. Thanks and welcome! ~Ronni
Guest guest
I am glad to. Keep in mind that I am just a beginner too, and have been doing it for only a few years. Inner qigong and Taoist Yoga are breathing and visualization exercises geared towards the development and regulation of internal energies. They also deal with the interaction of outside sources of energy, such as from trees, mountains, moon, stars, flowers, etc. When excess energy is the problem, the excess can be directed to the earth for recirculation. This must be absolutely learned thru a teacher, as too much, as wel as not enough energy can by dangerous. Once the energies have been awakened, you are then able to consiously direct it to wherever you wish it to go. It is important to first develop the energies inside the lower dantien, and to circulate it in the micro orbit meditation. A feel for external energies can be learned by embracing different trees, plants etc., and remembering the feel. Pine trees are full of energy, and should be approached cautiously. But there are many good books written on the subject by people who are much more qualified than I am. Guest guest
Hi Olivia, I haven't been on this list myself for long. I was interested in Internal Qigong. There is someone doing this free at the library in October. Can you tell me a bit about it? Thanks, & welcome, Regina. ---------- > Olivia Alex <soulsurfer50 > Hi all! > I am new to this list, and I like to introduce myself: > My name is Olivia; I live in B.C., Canada; My > interrests are in Qigong, Internal Qigong, Taoist > Yoga, Meditation, Radionics. > > Peace, > Olivia > > >
Guest guest
Internal qigong deals with the energy regulation in your body. If you are familiar with qigong, than you know that you must first start with building up the energy inside the lower dantien. After this has been sufficiently build up, the energy must be circulated inside the body, and inside and outside energies must be in harmonious accord with each other. It is probably wise to do the breathing exercises of building up the energy in the lower dantien, at least for several month's before proceeding to the other exercises. When the energy doesn't get regulated properly, than all kinds of things can go wrong. It is like the rising kundalini in Yoga. The Chinees call it kundalini psychosis. Always make sure to be guided by a qualified teacher on all levels of internal qigong! This is very important! Guest guest
I am new here and wanted to introduce myself. My name is John and I have read a few books on self-healing; metaphysics, etc. One of my favorite authors is Louise Hay. I am very interested in this topic and look forward to sharing and hearing more about it. I was diagnosed a diabetic in early 99 and I believe through the " power within me " that I can beat this disease (just like Louise beat her cancer diagnoses)!! I live in New York City and I would love to find out if there are any groups that meet on a regular or semi-regular basis where I can learn more about this self-healing process, meditation, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
