Hi folks!!!

Was having a discussion here at work and of course, herbs & diseases came up... I can't remember but it seems somewhere, lost in my mind, there is a "guideline" I remember hearing.

for every month or year that someone has had an "illness" it takes a week or month of taking herbs to cure it....

I don't remember the ratio that i heard - has anyone ever heard of this? or/and is there any truth to it.... is there some kind of "timetable" sort of??

Sorry to hear about your cat!

I think that the idea is roughly translated as you hear glucosamine (or St.

John's Wort) may take x amount of time to see results, and that is based on the

average response time, not a mystecal year = month or week equation (or else

everyone would have arthritis (etc.) for no longer than...!. I do believe

however that the longer that you've had a dis-ease state that it will take

longer to get you in balance, and hence, " cured " ! Likewise, if I recognize

depression after 2-3 days, and take steps to correct it, will I be " cured " in a

matter of minutes...hours??

Hi Suzanne;

That's a similar maxim my husband believed when

treating our cat. He said that for however long it

took him to get that sick, it would take as long to

heal him.

Our cat, sadly passed away this morning. It was very

peaceful, and we used remedies recommended here.

Essiac Tea did help, and rescue remedy was a Godsend,

especially at the end. He was very loved so that

helped alot too...

Thanks for the support and prayers...

I am so sorry to hear about your cat passing but happy it was peacful. Pets

can be such a blessing in our lives. I have a 9 month old Papillon puppy

named Baby Girll...She is my buddy and keeps me company when I am alone and

I don't feel good. I had a Papillon before and she lived 17 years.... It

took me 7 years before I could get another... I was so attached to her.

God Bless You,

Jamie

My arm and shoulder hurt so badly I could barely use it. I was in

constant pain and could not move it sideways, back or up. My sister had

had such success on her knees with glucosamine that I tried it with

condroitin (sp). It did take a couple of months before I noticed a

difference but after that I couldn't believe it.

I had been on it a while when I got an e-coli infection. My diabetes

when out of control along with some energy related problems. Also my

cholesterol was 16 points over what the doctor wanted it to be and even

though my blood pressure was normal the doctor put me on antibiotics to

clear up the e-coli, blood pressure medication, diabetes meds and wanted

to add a cholesterol medication which I said no way. My energy dropped

so badly that all I wanted to do was lay around and read.

I went to several specialists the doctor sent me to and heard from them

that the e-coli triggered the diabetes and that glucosamine raises blood

sugar. Right at this moment I stopped taking the meds and am feeling so

much better. I think the blood pressure medicine was the main culprit

of my problems.

At this point I want to body cleanse and go from there to rebuild my

system.

Deana,

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. We just lost a kitten (the lastof a litter) I tried so hard but guess it wasn't meant to be. At least the kitten knew love before it passed to a better life. I'm glad you're cat went peacefully. He will be waiting for you in the afterlife.
