Guest guest
Hi, This brings up a question. Is this prion/BSE passed in the blood? Or, is this an unknown? If so, I'd assume a person with BSE donating blood could spread this. Apparently there is no test available to find out if a person has this disease. Jean Baugh *************** The biggest problem is that the disease has a very long latency period -- between 10 and 20 years before symptoms fully manifest in most individuals. So everything on official channels is vague by necessity.
Guest guest
Okay since I started all this mess I should at least respond. The book I read a few years ago is by Richard Rhodes the book is titled Deadly Feasts it is a very interesting book and will tell you more than you wanted to know, he is one of the guys who actually discovered the prion.
