Crutch, eh? Thanks, Steve! Where did you say you were in Portsmouth?!?!? ;)

Seriously, thanks to all who responded to my question about asthma. I am

saving all the responses and am looking them over for what seems to 'make

sense' for me. But I have to tell you, Jennie's 'Sniffy' is STILL at the top

of the list!!!

EIA, hunh?! Great, now I can join the ranks of folks who have a bad case of

acronymitis! You have ADD?!?! Well, shucks, that's nuthin' Honey'!!

I...HAVE...EIA!!!! So there!!

[herbal remedies] Help for asthmatics that " can't " exercise? Wed,

08 Aug 2001 21:10:06 EDT

An asthma study from Tel-Aviv University reported that the antioxidant,

lycopene, may be the answer to EIA (exercise induced asthma) problems (Allergy

00;55(12):1184-9).

This was a short term study, but it showed thatout of twenty patients with EIA,

1/2 the group was given 30 mg. of lycopene a day for a week (equivalent to 3/4

of tomato sauce), and vs. the other 1/2 of controls, 55% had an improvement in

their lung function (vs. 15% reduction in the controls) following a set

exercise program.

I thought that this may be of interest to those that were using the asthma

" string-of-ailments-limiting-my recovery " " crutch " .

OT- but is Port Norfolk the same as plain old Norfolk? I lived in Norfolk,VA for 6 months when I was 18 while my brother was in the Navy... And he used to live in Portsmouth... I like WA better though! But I miss being able to see alot of the east coast outdoors!

Sindeadriving Washington nuts since 1991...
