Guest guest
Have been on list list for a couple of weeks now. It's a really busy list, and very interesting. Just realized that I've been doing so many posts, that a proper introduction has been skipped. I'm just a teacher. Remember, the original definition of the word " doctor " , is " teacher " . My home is in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I travel a lot, especially to the Denver area and to New York. I have been a musician since childhood -- but evolved into something more than that. I actually have been practicing the ancient Bardic tradition for many years. This tradition was once widespread throughout several ancient civilizations, and survived the longest in Ireland and West Africa. Bards combine knowledge of history, healing arts, and music in service of their communities. It took a long time to figure this out, and the process of figuring out how to make this mutually profitable to myself and a community is still going on. I have done a lot of personal, informal research in the following areas: Herbal Medicine, Effects of Music, Alternative Technology, Sympathetic Vibratory Physics, Cultural Anthropology, Religion, and Energy Production. One of my current projects is maintaining a small, informal, nonprofit library called the Tesla Research Library of Cheyenne. For several years I operated a small environmental consulting practice where I went into homes and workplaces to find conditions that were compromising health and well-being. This practice was closed less than a year after the organization providing the majority of referrals went bankrupt. Much of the knowledge behind this practice came from training given by the International Institute of Bau-Biologie and Ecology. Bau-Biologie is the name of a German discipline meaning " the biology of buildings " . I even travelled to Germany in order to conduct more thorough research on their techniques and fundamental assumptions. Being part of this list is a sort of experiment, while I'm reorganizing my life. I'm not trying to promote anything in particular here, but have found the process of answering questions enjoyable. Perhaps some new friends will emerge from this activity, and perhaps I will only be here a short time until other activities pull me away. I found this list through correspondence with Dr. Shillington on another list. I have come to deeply respect him for his knowledge, kindness, and compassion. Thanks go to him for starting and moderating this list. I'm sure that if I have any apparent disagreement with him, I will most likely just defer to him. -- Michael Riversong ** Professional Harpist, Educator, and Writer ** RivEdu ** Phone: (307)635-0900 FAX (413)691-0399 http://home.earthlink.net/~mriversong
