Guest guest
Dear Gina, During the second World War, burns were treated by making a wet paste of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) with water and applying on the skin. This is the best remedy I have found...............Best Penny (treat the body shock with lots of water and Vitamin C)
Guest guest
Gina, Get a good quality lavender essential oil & use it straight from the bottle. Research shows that "aromatherapy" was named after a researcher burned his arm in the lab & plunged it into a vat of lavender oil - it took away the pain & healed beautifully. Guest guest
For sunburn, you might think about smearing your body with a polyunsaturated fat. These fats are high in Vitamin F, which is important for tissue respiration. Vitamin F regenerates skin. Try safflower, sunflower, peanut, corn, or olive oil. Safflower has the highest polyunsaturated fat content. DU - Snglybug herbal remedies Monday, July 30, 2001 9:06 PM [herbal remedies] Severe Sunburn I know I havent written in a long time. My MS took a very bad turn for the worse and I lost the use of my body from the waist down for a while and got a bad case of pneumonia and my lungs were to weak to fight is off by coughing so I stopped breathing. But I got better and got so much energy back. I started taking HGH and tons of herbs and vitamins along with becoming a vegetarian and juicing. I went water skiing up to this beautiful lake near where we live but I had used some sun screen we had in our trailer from last year and silly me thought it was still good but it wasnt and I burnt to a crisp blisters and all. I am so swollen. I have tried vineger, Aloe Vera, Lidocaine, Vit E, Ice Packs and even resorted to pain meds and nothing is working. To top it off I slipped off the ladder hit the landing on the ladder tore my thigh muscle, hit the boat propelor and cut open my leg and am totally miserbal now. If I could calm the sunburn pain down I could finally get some sleep so if you have any ideas please send them my way. I am on digest but love all the posts. Guest guest
OOOPS, Sorry about the Signature, I totally forgot it automatically comes up. But I did some heavy meditations last night and finally my herbal mind started to work and I had forgotten I had made some Calendula oil, Chamomile oil and had Lavender EO so I made a mixture and had the dear hubby rub it all over the burns and sure enough it reallllllly worked great and I slept like a baby and when I woke the blisters were almost gone and my pain is almost gone. I will keep your remedies in my files and use them. Thank you so much. I didnt get the digest until this morning and for some reason when I went to my it is showing that I am not a memeber of the list. It has done this to me before. Thanks again. You could easily sensitize yourself to the oil! Mindy Kittay
