Guest guest
I am a little confused as myelomas usually are tumors formed in the plasma cells of the bone marrow, but leukemia is what is usually the culprit of hyper phagocytosis (or overactive/excessive white blood cells) which can lead to an under abundance of red blood cells/anemia. Yellow dock fights anemia with it's iron content, and the chlorophyll in wheat grass serves as a blood builder, plus may help against the cancer! Astragalus helps the immune system fight the cancer (either alone, or in conjunction with LOWERED doses of the conventional treatments), and helps fight fatigue, too. Stay away from chemicals, and meats so the body can concentrate on healing itself instead of processing heavy overcooked meat; eat raw as much as possible (lots of nuts and seeds), and drink beet and/or carrot juice. Other thyan that, I'll let the authorities fill you with more info! In Health, Steve ----------------------------- My name is Kevin McNeece, I am learning reflexology and plan on continuing my education in complimentary modalities. Now my question, recently my mother in law was diagnosed with 'multiple myeloma' a cancer. She has been put on a chemo treatement. The thing is this multiple myeloma affects her bodies ability to produce red bllod cells(actually it over produces white blood cells), so it makes her anemic and tired. I wonder if there is some kind of treatement (herbs etc) she could use to help 1 with the under production of red blood cells. 2 Help with the tired feeling she has especailly after the steroid chemo treatemnt. As a note she is also diabetic, and she is only somewhat open to alternative treatemnts (she I think though would want to try anything to help0 Thanks for your time! Guest guest
Hi Kevin, So Sorry to hear of your Mother-in-law's diagnosis. I have had an up close and personal exposure to cancer of the bone marrow. When the marrow makes new red cells they don't mature and release into the blood stream hence anemia and a big drop in hemogloblin. The cancer cells attack the bone and if not checked will cause bone lesions and kidney failure due to the high level of calcium it causes in the blood stream. This is only a lurking layman's simplified observation of this nasty cancer. All I can suggest is to do everything possible to help her immune system and I will leave the "how" of that to wiser ones. I wish I had something more constructive to offer. My thoughts and support are with your family. Feel free to e-mail me, like I said I only have moral support to offer but sometimes it is needed too. I will go back to lurking and learning. Norma
Guest guest
Thanks for your input! My comment through the message, - " bigbird3969 " <bigbird3969 <herbal remedies > Monday, July 30, 2001 14:48 Re:[herbal remedies] Introduction and Question > I am a little confused as myelomas usually are tumors formed in the plasma cells of the bone marrow, but leukemia is what is usually the culprit of hyper phagocytosis (or overactive/excessive white blood cells) which can lead to an under abundance of red blood cells/anemia. > Yeah I was confused too and perhaps my explanation was not good, as you pointed out the plasma cells of the bone marrow are affected, in a sense cloning themselves (exact copies which is not good). This seems to be part of the problem is that these plasma cells are hurting the ability to produce the right amounts of red cells.(?) But it also affects calcium and potassium levels, and part of the tired ness comes from anemia(one of the treatements she is on is a blood transfussion) and steriod intake. She seems to respond ok to the steroids but for the first two or three days after treatement she is exhausted. > Yellow dock fights anemia with it's iron content, and the chlorophyll in wheat grass serves as a blood builder, plus may help against the cancer! I have started treating her with reflexology not as a 'cure' necesarryly but as a way to help her relax and perhaps stimulate her auto immune system. > Other thyan that, I'll let the authorities fill you with more info! > > In Health, > Steve Thanks alot Steve I will wait for more info from others and pass along the stuff you have gave me! Guest guest
Maria- > I have a question about Amethyst. Someone told > me that amethyst doesnt hold negative energy, so > it never needs cleansing. I thought that only > Kyanite and Citrine didnt hold negative energy. > Could someone please enlighten me on this. Just my two cents on the subject... The idea that kyanite and citrine don't hold negativity has come from Melody's works (the Love is in the Earth series). She has, in fact, updated this list to over 10 stones I believe. However, my perspective is that these ideas are Melody's from her work and her research. While she has done a great deal of good through her contributions to the crystal community these contributions still reflect a single perspective on the issue. She may perceive that only certain stones don't hold negativity whole others may find this is true of other stones. The risk that we run in our exploration of the stone spirits is relying too much on outside authorities rather than our own inner authority. Crystal books can be useful, but they can also derail us from our own knowing a bit. We each have a unique relationship with the stone spirits and, in reality, each stone, while it may share traits with others in its family, is very individual. You may have two pieces of amethyst and one may hold dissonant energies and one may not. In the end I believe that it's more important to find what's true for you and to rely on your own connection with these stone spirits. And, with all things, this is my perspective based on my experience. You should see if it resonates and if not, freely discard it. Thanks Enke luna Enke, I've been in energy healing for a while now and only last year took up crystals. To my amazement, they have lots of properties. I tell new people that they should consider them the equivalent of vitamins and that the body recognizes whatever it in it's energy field (aura) as inside the body. Now there are people whose orientation is not directly at healing but at " magic " (which is the left overs of ancient technologies) and they, undoubtedly would use the energies for other purposes. Your client may have those other purposes still workable from past life experiences. And there is also the factor that stones occasionally do have extradimensional depths and holding what appears to be a 3 dimensional ball may be also, and really, holding it in additional dimensions as well. Guest guest
Thanks Bob, You gave me different perspectives to work from. Honestly, I dont think I would have equated the magikal aspect due to the clients overall " now " personality but in terms of past life it would explain a lot. It will be fun to play more magikally in the future and see what transpires. Thanks again Enke luna
