Guest guest
I've never heard of calendula " oil " perse, but as an ointment, it is used forreducing inflamation and soothing the skin; helps regulate the menstrual cycle and lower fever,; for skin rashes, sunburn, neuritis and toothache (perhaps as an oil), diaper rash, etc... Also, I would imagine that it depends on it's indicated uses as to how often! In Health, Steve ----------------------------- Thought I'd try again. :-) Denise - " Denise O'Connor " <rnmsw <herbal remedies > Sunday, July 29, 2001 11:27 PM calendula oil > How is calendula oil used? Guest guest
I use calendula oil (olive oil infused with calendula petals) in soap to make it very mild and emollient. It is also good in salve for dry chapped skin. You can use it straight on rough skin like heels, elbows, and feet or rub it into chapped or dry skin anywhere on your body. It increases the circulation which in turn promotes healing. It may also be effective in treating ear infections and stopping the itch of insect bites.
