Hi,

My 9 year old has been complaining for a few days about a sore/cut in her mouth. She is whining a lot! Is there a tea I could have her swish around in her mouth that might help this to heal faster?

Thanks

I've found a sage infusion laced lightly with honey to be very beneficial

to most kinds of mouth and throat sores, as long as it isn't thrush.

A chickweed infusion will also help ease the pain. I'd prepare

it with honey also. Honey is a carrier and helps your system process

the herbs.

Then you need to determine if she cut or bit herself, or if the sore

is a canker sore, and treat the *cause* .

last message with my complete sig. line which includes some information

that is a no no. I'll try to watch that closer from now on.

Dear Mindy,

Best bet is the Tooth and Gum formula:

Love,

Doc

Tooth and Gum Formula

Ingredients: Echinacea, Bayberry, Oak bark, Cayenne, Tea tree oil,

Clove oil, DMSO and Peppermint oil. Be sure to shake well before each use.

10 oz Echinacea Tincture

1/4 cup of Tea Tree Oil

4 oz. Bayberry Tincture

2 oz. Oak Gall (or 3X Oak Bark) Tincture

2 TBS. Cayenne Tincture

2 1/2 Dropperfuls of Peppermint Oil

2 1/2 Dropperfuls of Clove Oil

1 Dropperful of DMSO

A Dropperful is considered to be about 1/2 way up the dropper. Use

Organic ingredients where ever possible.

The Echinacea tincture deadens the pain immediately – when you get it down into your

gum line. It also is a surface disinfectant and stimulates your immune

system to start working against bacteria that is down in there. The

bayberry is one of the stronger astringents, so it will take that gum

tissue and literally tighten it right up in front of your eyes. . . .

" Oak is also an astringent. "Oh yes, peppermint is a very strong

disinfectant, and it’s a very strong circulatory stimulant. Dr.

Christopher even listed it next to cayenne in his School of Natural

Healing under circulation stimulants. Peppermint also reduces

inflammation, so it’s a great one for curing dental diseases."
