Okay you guys, I have been following these posts about the Vit. C as it is so interesting. I use C-salts which contains per 1/4 tsp. 1000 mg vit C-(ascorbic acid) calcium 36 mg. Magnesium 14 mg. zinc 0.5 mg and potassium 91 mg. I could never get enough vit C from a pill to cause the diahrea effect. I take 2000 G of this C-salts every day and still have not reached my 'potential'. So I am wondering what kind of vit C is the best. I assumed (I know, never assume) that the C salts were the best. Please can you clarify this for me? Thanks Patty

Hi Patty,

The formula I gave was a " Kid Gloves " version, designed to work with most folks

with the least undesirable side effects.

I use 1 teaspoon of ascorbic acid powder to 2 oz of water every 15 minutes and

skip the other minerals as I get HEAPS.

I mix up 8 doses at once, 8 teaspoons of the Vit C powder to 16 oz water and do

a flush once a month, during my Monday

fast.

Didn't we have a post months ago about it being difficult to find pure

ascorbic acid powder in the health food store-that they were guilty of using

fillers and there was something negative about it that made us talk about

making our own out of fresh dried orange and grapefruit peels. Can anyone

remember what that was all about? Any way wouldn't that work?? or is that

too simplistic? my mind goes to the simplist ways(as in cheap, easy)

Greg, now you know we'd all like to be a fly on the wall to see what on

earth all you take-you get heaps of other minerals, how? what do you take?

are you a raw foodist?? Not being nasty, I am headed there, thats why I

asked.

I am always interested in any biochemical solution as long as it "does no harm" and is therapeutical. As I mentioned about a year ago, my family gets all its Vit C from Orange, Grapefruit, and Lemon peels and this has always been sufficient for us. I'm curious as to whether or not all Ascorbic Acid (the pure powder) comes from natural sources or if they have found a way to make it synthetically. Does anyone know? Or care to research this?

Love,
