Guest guest
As far as I know, gout is caused by an overabundance of uric acid, not vitamin C! As a matter of fact, in that same book previously referenced, it calls for 3-5 grams of vitamin C (in divided doses) to " lower serum uric acid levels " ! Hope that helps, Steve ----------------------------- Couldn't this much VIT C trigger a gout attack? My brother had a virus coming on and his dr recommended large doses of Vit C. He is prone to gout anyway, and ended up in the hospital & was on crutches for a month. Guest guest
Thats all I wanted to know Steve. I'm satisfied with that. Since I hadn't read it, it didn't mean it wasn't true, I just wanted to know without a doubt. This information would be very helpful to all if it were with the flush recipe. I can't be the only one who doesn't know about it. I don't mind being the one with the big mouth that asks, when others hold back wondering the same thing. Have a great day. Guest guest
Misunderstanding - as " accused " of posting something " harmful " to " healthy people " as was stated in her inquiry! Sorry, Steve ----------------------------- Dear Steve, I don't know if you're joking or not here, but " sarcasm " or " hazing " is inappropriate for this list. Guest guest
Dear Steve, Thanks for researching that. Perhaps that book of yours can answer my question as to whether or not one should use Acorbic Acid or the salt Ascorbate form of vitamin C and if there's a difference. I have always tended to go with the acid form of a vitamin for myself as I personally get better assimilation when I do. I'd be interested in others viewpoint on this as well. Hi Steve, Thanks for the fine answer. Glad to see you picked up the " tuning " issue. Any form of Vit C will do. The buffered forms are more gentle. I use straight Vit C, but then I have been doing these flushes once a month for about a year and yes the amount required, over time, does reduce.
