Hi Greg,

I did the first 3 years of my course at Australian College of Complimentary Medicine in Newton. I've since moved to the country though and now I do it through the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences. For the practical side of the course, which I should be starting soon, I need to find a qualified Naturopath who will take me on and 'show me the ropes'

Hi Jo,

I live in Aberfoyle Park, above Flagstaff Hill, in the hills South of the city.

I will be doing a Naturopathy Degree course through Health School Australia with

the degree (BHSc in Complementary

Medicine) awarded by the Uni of WA. I'm waiting on the format announcement of

the course from UWA as I prefer a

" Sandstone " degree to one from Charles Sturt or UNE.

Would be interested in your opinion.

Hey Jo,

Don't wait for the diploma!!! Get started now. With what you already know, you are probably far ahead of any medico out there. By the time I received my diploma, I already had over a hundred patients. There's no law out there that I know of that says you can't help people with knowledge. Remember, the original meaning of the word "doctor" is "teacher".

Sooooooo, go girl.

Hey Greg,

I know Aberfoyle Park very well. I'm even further south than you, waaay down at Inman Valley near Victor Harbor..a beautiful place.

I looked at the course you are talking about a year or so ago, if it's the one I'm thinking of..do you have to attend intensive seminars up in QLD in order to get the BHSc? Haven't heard about the Sandstone degree? What's the deal there? Would love to hear more.

Hi Jo,

Uni WA is the first of the original Unis to offer a Naturopathy Degree. I guess

one day all of the original Sandstone

constructed Unis (similar the US " Ivy League " schools) will be into the degree

once the federal government moves to set

national Naturopathy requirements.

Hi Pella,

Health Schools Australia currently use the University of WA for the science

portion of their remote education:

http://www.healthaustralia.com/news.html

They (HSA & UWA) are dotting the i and crossing the t at present before offering

the Degree program through Uni WA.

Currently HSA offers it's degree program through Charles Stuart or UNE:

necessary.

Hi Don,

LOL! I think maybe of the weather... but it's always been a vacation spot for me & family (growing up & my own) But when I was there I did miss the changing seasons. But it was great living a few minutes from the beach.. :) Brigham is alright, not a lot there, but we drive thru there to go to Logan for family reunions.

Most of our family is between 5-20 min away which helps.. (dont have to drive far, for a sitter) lol!

Thank you for your blessings.. hard to believe it's almost here!

Hi Shelly,

What is it with Utahns moving to California? Seems to be the first place they move to. Pretty strange. Always liked Brigham. Never knew anyone that lived there till now. I have family in Ogden, Salt Lake and God only knows where else in Utah. :-)

Hi Shelly,

I was born in S.L.C. raised there till I entered 4th grade and then my folks moved to Salina where I lived for 3 more years. Then we moved to CA. I moved back to Utah in 84 and lived in Ogden for a while then Salt Lake. Then I moved to Wa. Utah is kind of a cool state. At least it was when I was there.
