Guest guest
I don't know what others think but I wonder if he may have a intestinal parasite. Jamie - sindea herbal_Remedies Friday, July 13, 2001 12:17 PM [herbal remedies] health ??? for my husband Hello all! OK, so I am looking for some ideas and help. My husband is 29 and is what he thinks of as fairly healthy. But yet I listen to the various complaints (he is the type that could go to a dr. hacking up a lung and say "I am feeling just fine"...). Anyway, he now says he wants to get healthier, and has no aversions to the natural side- in fact in recent years he prefers it. But right now he is not working, so we cannot afford to send him in to the ND for a complete workup. So, I am trying to help him as best I can. I will just list various stuff about him and that is going on. And feel free to toss me ideas!! Thanks so much! -he is about 5'10" and 200 lbs -has had seasonal allergies his whole life -has winter asthma (mild) -has BM's several times a day that are always very "soft" -seems to be very sensitive to beef (gives him gas and makes him go to the bathroom even more often) -was thought to be ADD, but finally 2 yrs ago was diagnosed as bi-polar. he takes a B-complex by Ecologocal formulas and also takes an herbal/vitamin combo by Source Naturals called "Positive thoughts"- and it has done wonders for his moods!!! -tends to get signs of a yeast infection often His diet is improving, but not great. He does eat meat and has a fair amount of dairy and sugar in his diet. He has cut back foods with sugar to only maybe 2 to 3 times per week, and has cut his dairy to less than once a day. He eats some veggies, but not alot. is this enough info to get started? keep in mind that it will have to be gradual changes for him... Guest guest
Hi, I would cut out dairy and refined sugar entirely. The dairy could be contributing to the asthma, hacking cough, and allergies. He could use rice milk and almond milk as substitutes and there are a lot of dairy free products on the market. Sugar contibutes to yeast. If there are signs of yeast an intestinal cleanse would be worthwhile and taking acidophilus on a regular basis would be helpful. Greens like alfalfa and chlorophyll help allergies a lot. There could be parasites. Parasites and yeast can affect moods too. B-complex is wonderful for moods! Guest guest
Also if red meat bothers his digestion then don't use it. Or take digestive enzymes if he must have it. Maybe substituting other proteins like fish, chicken, beans would help him to cut down on the red meat. Guest guest
Do you know your husband's bloodtype by chance? Some bloodtypes are more sensitive to sugar, wheat and red meat. Guest guest
OK, so would cutting refined white sugar and dairy out get rid of a parasite? Or does he need to do a cleanse of sorts? He is ready to get so much healthier, thank goodness... Sindeadriving Washington nuts since 1991... I don't know what others think but I wonder if he may have a intestinal parasite. Guest guest
Yeast is a parasite in the sense of the word that it can latch into your intestines, and take hold living off of sugars of any kind as they are broken down to their simplest forms, and robbing the body of it's full compliment of nutrients. There are also several " alternative " (touchy word with some) practitioners that live by the fact that everyone that they've treated with cancer, has had yeast (and perhaps other parasites), though I don't know if this is the " chicken or egg " theory about which came first! So a cleansing is warranted, at the very least, for yeast! Note: the longer he's had it, the more stubborn it will be to get rid of, and the more reactions he probably will have (due to the toxins released as the yeast dies off)! Guest guest
It would definitely help with the speed of doing so, but I'd add some Black Walnut Hulls, Wormwood, and Garlic to his diet as well if you want to really knock 'em off. This of course is the simple answer, but I'd also expect to see a change of diet, and an increase of exercise as well. Love, Doc PS. Check the files for "Diet" tips.
