Guest guest
Hi All, Found it!!!!! There is a good tool to teach, learn & analyse foods for their Omega 6, Omega 3, EPA & DHA content at: http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/ The program is called KIM (Keep It Managed) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe It's big, about 12 mb, takes some time to get familiar with but is well worth the effort. Short 6 = 18:2 Omega 6 Long 6 = 20:4 Arachidonic Short 3 = 18:3 Omega 3 + 18:4 Parinaric Long 3 = 20:5 EPA + 22:5 DPA + 22:6 DHA From the Main Menu, click on Food Groups, then New Choice of your desired food group, then Sort Short or Sort Long to get a list of the best ratios of 3>6. You can also make up menus for analysis. The Slide Review is also good. Can't get the Short Shows to work but hey it's free. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, http://www.ozemail.com.au/~gowatson gowatson
