Guest guest
Excellent article Greg. The only thing I might add is that organic Sodium is the first element the body uses to neutralize excess acids, calcium is second. Since organic Sodium is usually paired with organic Potassium, it is paramount that these two elements be in abundance in the human body. I'm not talking about table salt here; that is inorganic. I'm talking about the organic sodium one gets from foods such as celery. One of the best balancers is the Panther Piss formula as found in the files. This formula will ensure an abundant supply of organic Sodium and Potassium. Much love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Greg Watson Health AntiAgingResearch Tuesday, July 10, 2001 2:07 AM [herbal remedies] Acid / Alkaline foods & the Vit C Asorbate flush http://www.allocca.com/ch_18.htmMethods for Adjusting Body Acid-Base (pH) BalanceThe body pH should be neutral (7.0) or slightly alkaline. A pH below 7.0 is acidic. A pH above 7.0 is alkaline. Anacidic pH can occur from, an acid forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any processthat deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients. The body will try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals [bone calcium..gw], then excretes them. If thediet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a build up of acids in the cells will occur. An acidic balance will:1) Decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients2) Decrease the energy production in the cells3) Decrease the ability to repair damaged cells4) Decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals5) Make tumor cells thrive6) Make the body more susceptible to fatigue, illness and pain.[7) Possible reduce bone density & strength..gw]To maintain health, the diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods. To restore health, the diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods. The body pH can be changed by altering the diet, by increasing the supplementation of minerals such as, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and zinc and/or by the ascorbate flush. Caesium and rubidium are potent stimulants, and may causehyperactivity, nervousness, and loss of temper. The pH of the body can be determined by measuring the pH of the firstmorning urine.Generally, alkaline forming foods include: most fruits, green vegetables, peas, beans, lentils, spices, herbs andseasonings, and seeds and nuts.Generally, acid forming foods include: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, grains, and legumes.Highly Alkaline FoodsBaking soda, sea salt, mineral water, pumpkin seed, lentils, seaweed, onion, taro root, sea vegetables, lotus root, sweet potato, lime, nectarine, persimmon, raspberry, watermelon, tangerine, and pineapple.Moderately Alkaline FoodsSpices, kambucha, unsulfured molasses, soy sauce, cashews, chestnuts, pepper, kohlrabi, parsnip, garlic, asparagus, kale, parsley, endive, arugula, mustard green, ginger root, broccoli, grapefruit, cantaloupe, honeydew, citrus, olive, dewberry, loganberry, and mango.Low Alkaline FoodsMost herbs, green tea, mu tea, rice syrup, apple cider vinegar, sake, quail eggs, primrose oil, sesame seed, cod liveroil, almonds, sprouts, potato, bell pepper, mushrooms, cauliflower, cabbage, rutabaga, ginseng, eggplant, pumpkin, collard green, lemon, pear, avocado, apple, blackberry, cherry, peach, and papaya.Very Low Alkaline FoodsGinger tea, umeboshi vinegar, ghee, duck eggs, oats, grain coffee, quinoa, japonica rice, wild rice, avocado oil, mostseeds, coconut oil, olive oil, flax oil, brussel sprout, beet, chive, cilantro, celery, okra, cucumber, turnip greens, squashes, lettuces, orange, apricot, banana, blueberry, raisin, currant, grape, and strawberry.Very Low Acid FoodsCurry, Koma coffee, honey, maple syrup, vinegar, cream, butter, goat/sheep cheese, chicken, gelatin, organs, venison, fish, wild duck, triticale, millet, kasha, amaranth, brown rice, pumpkin seed oil, grape seed oil, sunflower oil, pinenuts, canola oil, spinach, fava beans, black-eyed peas, string beans, wax beans, zucchini, chutney, rhubarb, coconut, guava, dry fruit, figs, and dates.Low Acid FoodsVanilla, alcohol, black tea, balsamic vinegar, cow milk, aged cheese, soy cheese, goat milk, game meat, lamb, mutton, boar, elk, shell fish, mollusks, goose, turkey, buckwheat, wheat, spelt, teff, kamut, farina, semolina, white rice, almond oil, sesame oil, safflower oil, tapioca, seitan, tofu, pinto beans, white beans, navy beans, red beans, adukibeans, lima beans, chard, plum, prune and tomatoes.Moderately Acid FoodsNutmeg, coffee, casein, milk protein, cottage cheese, soy milk, pork, veal, bear, mussels, squid, chicken, maize, barleygroats, corn, rye, oat bran, pistachio seeds, chestnut oil, lard, pecans, palm kernel oil, green peas, peanuts, snowpeas, other legumes, carrots, garbanzo beans, cranberry, and pomegranate.Highly Acid FoodsPudding, jam, jelly, pudding, table salt (NaCl), beer, yeast, hops, malt, sugar, cocoa, white (acetic acid) vinegar, processed cheese, ice cream, beef, lobster, pheasant, barley, cottonseed oil, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, friedfoods, soybean, and carob. The Ascorbate FlushMix (1/2 teaspoon (2 grams) for a healthy individual, 1 teaspoon for a moderately healthy individual, and 2 teaspoonsfor a individual in ill-health) of Vitamin C ascorbate powder containing potassium, magnesium, calcium and zinc in 2ounces of room temperature water or juice.1) Allow effervescence to dissipate (about 2 minutes), then drink the mixture.2) Repeat this procedure every 15 minutes until a watery diarrhea has occurred.3) Write down the time(s) and dose(s) taken.4) After achieving the watery diarrhea, add up the total amount of ascorbate taken.5) The daily amount will be 75 percent of the total. Repeat this procedure every 2 weeks.6) Eventually, less ascorbate will be needed to achieve the watery diarrhea.7) When the dose no longer changes, the repeat schedule can be changed to once every 3 months.8) If the maintenance dose causes diarrhea, change it to 75 percent of the dose that caused the diarrhea.========================So eat more of the alkaline & less of the acid foods to improve health & reduce the possibility of bone calcium loss.========================Good Health & Long Life,Greg Watson, http://www.ozemail.com.au/~gowatson gowatsonFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
