Guest guest
Help With Sciatica I am experiencing a great deal of pain from sciatica. I have been to a Chiropractor and now I have started taking Boswellan. I am using castor packs also. Does anyone know of anything else that I can do? We did a great deal of walking this past week and it has gotten much worse. I am in so much pain all the way down into my knee at times I can't bear it! Any help or advice would be much appreciated:) Pearl (NY) Country Living at it's finest /community/Countrylife
Guest guest
From personal experience I found a product from Natures Sunshine of value-it's called 'eight' in the UK-presume it's the same name in US. You could always check out the ingrediants (all herbs) and make your own!! Also consider going for Spinal Touch Therapy Janice herbal remedies, PEARLY2@w... wrote: > Help With Sciatica > > I am experiencing a great deal of pain from sciatica. Guest guest
I experienced this exactly three years ago. I went to a chiropractor for 2 visits and had two acupuncture treatments and have never had a problem since. Guest guest
Pearl...There is nothing worse than the pain of Sciatica if you ask me.What turned things around for me was getting Chiropractic treatments, cutting out of my diet ,nerve irritants like sugar and caffiene and to deal with the pain I used hot and cold treatments. to do this you need two or three ice packs and a heating pad. You lay down with the cold pack on your lower spine for as close to 20 minutes as you can then do 20minutes of the heating pad as hot as possible then back to cold for 20minutes,back to hot etc. Do this many times daily. You may not get anywhere close to the 20minutes. I had to start out with about 5min of each.Keep gradiently increasing it. Very cold , very hot. I so hope this settles things down for you. Sciatica is the worst pain I have ever experienced...Love, Mary Ostrowski ...PS ..Let me know how it goes! - <PEARLY2 <herbal remedies > Sunday, July 08, 2001 2:18 PM [herbal remedies] Sciatica > Help With Sciatica > > I am experiencing a great deal of pain from sciatica. Guest guest
Try St John's Wort salve or oil. It works well where nerves are involved. Make sure the oil is bright red, salve should be quite pink - otherwise it is using the wrong part of the plant. It is easy to make if you can find the fresh flowers. Guest guest
Dear All, On page 46 of his School of Natural Healing Dr. John Christopher says "Crippling pain of the lower extremities has long been blamed on the sciatica nerve, but actually is is not a nerve problem at all. It is due to toxic poisong from the sigmoid section of the bowel, the area going from the descendintg colon over to the rectal area. This important small section of the intestines is subject to kinks or pockets which cause toxic poisons in the area and in the leg area, which in turn irritate the sciatica nerve, dislocating the scroiliac. When the affected part of the bowel is cleaned out with the lower bowel tonic and cleansing program, the poisons no longer afrect the nerve area." I've not had personal experience with this but one of our clients recently had this problem and after doing our intestinal cleanse one and two, no longer had a problem. So this is my 2 cents worth.
