Guest guest
Dear Sherry, I would use the leaves seperately and then do another tincture with the leaves and flowers. Why? Because there are seperate properties in the leaves and flowers. You can combine them and you have adrenal stimulants/diuretic/ a febrifuge/anti-rheumatic and an expectorant. it will also promote lactation. The leaves sepertely will(becasue they contain a lot of tannins, vit C and calcium and potassium), work as a tonic. Throw is some seeds as well (I would blend it to try and crush the seeds) and you have a great releiver of irritable bowel syndrome and the oil in the seeds will regulate menstruation. Actually - it is the oil in the seeds that do this - the oil from Borage seeds is recommended as an alternative to evening primrose oil for eczema externally....... Personally, I would bung the whole lot in one tincture......see what it does when you use it...............Love Penny
