Guest guest
Dear Sherry, Borage is a great herb to tincture. I can recommend Penelope Ody's book ThE Complete medicinal Herbal for anyone who is starting. One of the easiest to understand and best books I have come across for the Beginner and a very good reference bok for the expert.. She suggests tincturing the leaves and that they are a tonic for stress and canbe used following steroid therapy. The fresh flowers were used in coughsyrups and , I beleive in wine making (anyone have a reference on that?) the leaves canbe used as a poultice for infammatory swellings or taken as an infusion for lung disorders of colds...... A very useful plant indeed and a good one to choose for a tincture...............love Penny
