Statistics from book review excerpt

The following was taken as highlights from a book review of Lost Rights by James

Bovard (which at the time of print was on sale at Amazon.com for$13,56, if

interested) that was printed in the winter version of the Herbal Healer Academy

News.

Did you know:

!) ...that the National Council of Health Fraud is an entity made up of people

(ie. William Jarvis and Stephen Barrett, M.d.'s) that the FDA and the

Pharmaceutical Advertising Counsel, or PAC (which represents some 35 major drug

companies - and infiltrates your daily tv viewing), pay to discredit all herbs,

vitamins, homeopathic remedies, etc., that are " unscientifcally " proven, but

have the most promise, or present the greatest threat to the PAC members!

2) ...that though the FDA regularly approves dangerous, often lethal drugs that

can only be detected after much widespread use, despite the $250-500,000,000 and

15 years it takes to bring these through the approval process, but never has one

FDA official, PAC member company president, research asst., corporate official,

company doctor nor testing lab been subjected to a raid, or threat of

imprisonment, which has often happened to " alternative " practitioners!

3) ...that a ten year statistical follow-up initiated in 1986 in the New England

Journal of Medicine, and completed in 1996 in Lancet has shown that as far as

ALL cancers, the complete permanent remission, and return of quality of life is

an abysmal 3% with the current regimen of radiation, surgery, and chemo, yet

so-called alternative healing arts, are accused of offering false hope!

4) ...that the projected increase over 20 years of the now 2,500,000 national

death rate from cancer, and the trauma and suffering to the patients, they're

families, and the work force, that it is projected there will be an effect on

50,000,000 lives, and a funneling of $4 - 7.5 TRILLION dollars into the

collective hands of the medical and pharmaceutical cartel; and you wonder why

there's no " cure " !

5) ...that by reversing the order of " GOD to WE the People...to the country...to

the state...to congress " , we have relinquished various " freedoms " that we may

not be aware of; hence, the suggestion to read the above book to " any person

interested in protecting liberty " !

Obviously, I have not read the books, or any of it's references, but always want

to hear both sides, not just the capitalistic bombardment fed to the masses by

the media!
