On page 88 of Alternative Medicine: The definitive guide, the symptoms are

described as including anxiety, depression, confusion, irritability, insecurity,

inability to concentrate, symptoms indestinguishable from those of MS, or ALS

(Lou Gehrig's disease), allergic reactions (including hives, eczema, headaches,

asthma, and digestive problems. The same book gives you an idea of what to do,

and what to expect if having them removed. It also has a section on biological

dentist (which a source for a local one for you can be found at

<www.holisticdental.org/hdasearch.htm>) ...and a good article by two

toxicologist MD's was in a recent issue of Life Extension magazine, and should

be on their web site; included is symptoms, detox protocol, and removal.

<www.lef.org>

I'm sure there are others out there, but those two are a reputable start.

Good luck,

Steve

-----------------------------

Does anyone know what the symptoms are for mercury posioning? What can the

long term affects be as well?

What results has anyone has removing their fillings?

Thanks & God Bless,

Jamie

Thanks a lot Steve...

I am having mine removed as soon as I gather more info. I actually found an

alternative dentist that I go see tomorrow about having this done.

I never leap and always try to find everything out I can before doing

something new.

I think mine are causing problems...

Also I was told that if you have mercury posioning and your pregnant that

you can pass the mercury to the baby, especially it will concentrate in the

baby's brain.

Anyone heard of this?

My husband had his mercury amalgams out a few years

back, with an ordinary, not " alternative " local

dentist who knew the dangers of mercury and didnt use

it- doesnt use it.( Actually he is not so local to us,

a half hour drive, but I take my kids to him- and pay-

rather than have them go through the school dentist)

He had a rubber dam put in his mouth to prevent the

mercury bits spraying down his throat (apparently all

dentists dont do that but its essential- or you end up

ingesting heaps of mercury), and he had it done over

several months, he had maybe 10 fillings. He also took

massive Vit C and I cant remember what else. He had no

side effects, and hadnt been having any problems- just

wanted to do it since he had so much mercury in his

mouth.

Hi Valorie...

I must have missed your post on this.... Do you have a copy?

I went to the dentist today, he practices alternative dentistry, and I will be getting mine out in two stages I believe.

We also talked about my being a plumber for several years and my exposure to lead and solder and lots of other metals...

I sometimes feel I will be detoxing for years, LOL!

I Pray you are all well..

I've had a lot of theses symptoms. I had amalgam in almost every

one of my teeth except the front teeth. Allergies big time,

depression, irritablility, digestive problems, lack of concentration

big time were my obvious symptoms. Urine, blood tests, and hair

analyses showed my mercury levels to be waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy off the

charts. When I saw the numbers I wondered how i've lived with all the

toxicity. Over the past 3 years I've had almost all removed. I didn't

have any negative side effects from the removal except financial.

With lots of vitamins, and detoxing and acupuncture I feel like a new

woman. I can concentrate a lot better. I am not depressed or

irritable, happy as a pig ...

Still have the allergies but working on that. Time will heal all.

Definitely worth doing and educating others about.

Good luck, Cathy

Jamie,

Sorry for the long delay. Your email was hiding among many others.

I do not have a copy but when you call I'll tell you my experience, OK?

You've called twice so I'm sure the 3rd time will be a charm. I'm leaving a note for Ian to give you a call. Hope it not just another telephone tag.
