Guest guest
My understanding is that candles make in 3rd world countries are more apt to contain lead based wicks. However, I believe " authorities " recommend that you not burn " cheaper " candles down to the bottom so as to limit lead exposure. Personally I doubt there is enough lead in that little disc to cause problems, but one never knows, so I don't burn the cheap candles down near the disc. On the breast cancer issue - this " urban legend " has been going around the net for years. The " authorities " say it is absolutely false, however, the concept makes so much sense to me that I do, in fact, limit myself to rare usage of antiperspirant - I use it only on the hottest days or when I am away from home. I don't use aluminum cookware for health reasons, so it makes sense to me that I shouldn't " use " aluminum as a body cream either. But, it may or may not be a real health hazard. Blessings, Janet E.
