Dear Pearly,

Love your old fashioned remedies.

Here is another that I used on my kids in Africa _ From

the Afrikaans:

For an upset stomach, grate apple and mix with a

little honey.Stir and let it get brown...

Boil pumpkin seeds and use the tea for stomach worms.

Use blood of "bessie bugs" for the ear ache.

Onions boiled in sulphur molasses makes a good laxative.

Use mold off of cheese for open sores.

Bake an onion and use juice for colic.

Sugar mixed with a few drops of kerosene is good for coughs.

A goose grease rub will help sore muscles.

Wear an asafetida bag to ward off disease.

Use a burnt sponge to get rid of a goiter.

Rub turpentine and lard on a warm flannel cloth and put it on a

child's
