Guest guest
Lory, When you say you are " tested " for glaucoma are you tested by an optometrist or an opthomologist? Glaucoma is an inciduous disease and a " negative " test result is usually not the term used in testing. If you are just getting " air " tested, then you need a good, solid, numbed eye test. I have what is called " glaucoma syndrome " meaning my pressures are high normal, but my cornea is deeply cupped. If glaucoma runs in your family, as it does mine, it would do you well to have more extensive testing to make sure you have no vision loss. Certainly a field of vision test every six months to a year is in order. With glaucoma you can be blind before you realize what has happened. Blessings, Janet E. Guest guest
Thanks, Janet! I usually get air-tested, but the last time I had the perimetry test as well & was told that all was well. My understanding of glaucoma was that it was peripheral vision that goes first & that is fine. I've been having these off/on days for the past 7-8 yrs & they seem to always coincide with the weather. My paternal grandmother had glaucoma (also heart disease), so I've always been aware that I'm a candidate, but it doesn't seem to concern the many eye drs I've been to. The other really strange thing (has happened the past 3x I've gotten my glasses changed) is that new glasses are perfect for 2-3 days, then I can no longer see well with them. No one seems to know what to do with this either. It's almost as though my eyes re-adjust themselves to " bad " vision. I usually only wear my glasses for distance, so maybe they think they are correcting something??? Anyway, I'm taking the eye tonic 3x day now & using the eyewash 5-6x. Am ordering some DMSO today to add to it. I really appreciate all the input. Guest guest
On a personal note, I went four years ago to have glasses prescribed by an eye surgeon. He said I had traces (the beginnings of) glaucoma. He said this was normal due to a variety of things (genetics and normal wear and tear on the eyes due to the sun's rays). I went back later on (a few months ago) and saw his partner, another eye surgeon. I asked this one about the glaucoma, and he said it wasn't there and not to worry about it. Huh? Guest guest
Dear Lori, Remember to use only the USP Pharmaceutical Grade DMSO which comes in glass containers. DMSO will eat all plastic to a greater or lesser degree and you do not want plastic molecules in your eye. Guest guest
Remember my data re: diagnoses and 75% of them being wrong. I'd use my Eyebright Formula or Doc Christopher's (Schulze's) with USP Pharmaceutical Grade DMSO added to theirs. It also helps with repairing eyesight naturally.
