Guest guest
Ian, I made a cayenne tinc and left the peppers in the liquid. I thought it would just get stronger. It smells sour, like the peppers are rotting. Whats up?? Do the peppers have to come out at a certain time? Or should I have taken the peppers out and added more if I wanted it stronger?? I was just playing around and smelled it for the first time today. You know I made tons of Super tonic about 8 months ago, and its fine, but then its in organic ACV and I keep it cold. Where did I go wrong here?? I simply wanted it to be strong. Elaine
Guest guest
Sheeeesh Elaine, sounds as if you left out the alcohol or that your alcohol / water ratio was toooooo weak. Either that or you failed to blend the peppers in a blender and put them in whole. Tell me you didn't do that ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington Ian, I made a cayenne tinc and left the peppers in the liquid. I thought itwould just get stronger. Guest guest
Yeah, fraid so. I chopped the peppers up and poured in the vodka(really red faced) I think I'll try it again Wednesday. I DO have a food processor. My vodka is 80 proof. Is that good enough?? Guest guest
80 proof is definitely good enough for Cayenne. And now you know, you need to blend (puree) the dickens out of 'em.
