Dear Dena,

That's great that you stayed there and met your one and only true love!

Do you grow any organic herbs?

I absolutely love peaches or apricots canned with honey. I know peaches are big in Georgia but don't know about Louisiana.

I'd trade or buy some of your organic canned goods if they don't have refined white sugar.

Are you planning on coming to New Mexico? If so, what part?

Three years ago I was packing up to move to Taos but circumstances intervened and I didn't go. On the good side....I never would have met my one and only true love, Mike. And I never would have grown to love and appreciate THIS land. Sigh, but I still miss the mountains and need a "fix" every now and then. We're planning a trip out west late July/early August. > Do you grow any organic herbs?

Hi Valorie :)

I'm just starting, mostly I've been wildcrafting what grows in the yard and

the woods. We have an " old " place, been here for 150 years and in neglect for

at least 40 years before we got it 10 years ago. So there's plenty of things

growing. Just wish I knew what they all were!

We have peaches, also figs and pecans. I'd love to trade, I've been wanting

to try the intestinal cleanses and after two or three weeks of eating out I'm

sure we'll need it.

Taos is ALWAYS my first stop! I know I'm *home* when I get there. We'll be

coming in through Tucumcari, then up thru Las Vegas to Taos for 2-3 days then

thru Chama and Pagosa Springs on the way to Durango. On the way home we'll

probably take I-40 all the way across the state.

Looking foward to it, it's been 3 years and I NEED my mountain fix!

hugs,

Dena

Great Dena,

I totally understand about not making the trip this year.

I'll trade retail for retail if that sounds good to you including shipping of course.

I know how the money goes when one is remodeling and constructing. We are in the middle of a huge cycle along those lines and the money, time and energy drain is unbelievable. Are you almost done?

Re: [herbal remedies] Your trip out west

Hi Valorie,Behind on the mail here too ;)Looks like we're not going to take a vacation anytime soon. Maybe not until next year. We've spent all our savings on building the hog-barn and remodeling the little house we had moved out here for shop, canning kitchen, meat processing, etc. Thank god dh is a carpenter or it would never happen ;) In order to take a big trip we'd have to put it on the credit cards and come home to debt. Not willing to do that. However, I'd be happy to mail you some fresh canned or dried fruits. Figs should be ripe in a week or two.Hugs,DenaFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
