Guest guest
Okay guys , here is an experiment! I read that the juice of the nettle stock contains the antidote to the " sting of the leaves " I don't remember where I read this but I just walked down my road to a nettle patch to test this . Only had a few minutes to try this as I have company coming but I did manage to rub a leaf on my hand them squeezed a bit of juice from the stalk on the stinging area and the " burning " changed to the itch rather rapidly, then changed again to a " numb " feeling. I am inviting you who have nettles growing near you to test it also since my experiment was too hastily done to claim that the stalk is in fact the antidote. I am going to further experiment as well. Let me know what any of you come up with!...Mary Ostrowski
Guest guest
Mary, when I picked a batch of stinging nettles(wearing rubber gloves) it got me anyway. I grabbed some leaves, thinking they would help, and like you it sorta changed, but I have to tell you, my arms and hands stung for two days, same as handling hot peppers. I just suffered it out, cause I didn't know what else to do at the time. Guest guest
Mary, when I am stung by stinging nettles, I feel like I did the first time I tried to milk a cow and got kicked off my chair. I got up and walked out, and was asked where are you hurt? I said " ALL OVER! " Hehehe!!!
