Guest guest
Hi All! I have found my PMS symptoms to be greatly diminished since drinking Nettle tea daily. I don't like the taste of straight nettle tea so I mix it with Lemon Balm tea, and also Schizandra Berry tea. I make the teas seperately then blend them in a half gallon container and put it in the Fridge for later use. Nettle is high in minerals, particularly iron, I am told. I always buy bulk herbs and then use a good tea strainer. Much cheaper than the tea bags. Love, Kristine
Guest guest
Hi Kristine, I use coffee filters myself and then seal them with a twist tie. I love herbal teas so much, though, that I went out and purchased a "virgin" coffee maker and make my nightly herbal teas in that (with fresh herbs). I find I can then make whatever amount of whatever herbs I choose just before I want/need it. Gogi The Halls wrote: I always buy bulk herbs and then use a good tea strainer. Guest guest
Hi Gogi, I like to let my herbs steep for a long time, so a coffee maker would not do for me. There may be some nutrients that would not come out immediately. Kristine
Guest guest
Hi Kristine, How much tea do you drink daily? One cup, 2, more? Guest guest
I drink at least a half gallon of herbal teas a day. Not just the ones mentioned. I drink Chaparral, fenugreek, and a couple of other herbal teas, but never the same ones everyday. I like to vary it a little. I find that the colon being plugged up causes me more moodiness, but if I can keep that cleaned out especially pre-menstrally, then I do not experience the downs. Can-gest tea, a commerical product, and cascara sagrada tea are those I make sure to include at this time. Avoiding all the things that " plug up " like milk products, peanut butter, rice, pasta, are a big part of keeping the colon clear.
