Guest guest
Doc (or anyone else who may know...), I am desperately looking for information about Armor thyroid replacement (a natural source of thyroid hormone) versus taking Synthroid which is totally synthetic. I am 27 and had thyroid cancer when I was 21. My thyroid (plus about 40 surrounding lymph nodes) was removed at that time followed by some standard radioactive iodine treatment to kill any remaining thyroid cells. I have been on Synthroid since that time, but have recently been reading information about Armor replacement. I sure like the idea of a natural hormone vs synthetic-before I present this idea of changing to my (rather narrow minded) endocrinologist I'd like to be " armed " with information, so to speak. So any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Thank you so much!
