Guest guest
http://www.floridata.com/ref/R/rose_off.cfm I have both the Florida St Johns Wort and the Florida Rosemary in this link, and now I don't know what all to do with them. I know I can cook with the Rosemary....boil Rosemary in the rice water before adding the rice, but other than that, I just don't know. The St Johns Wort is the prettiest green evergreen looking plant I've ever seen. The man at the Nursery told me it will amaze me with the flowers later. They had a LOT of Florida wild herbs there. Since I cannot distill the Rosemary like the big guys do, what can I do??? (with both) someone who has more wisdom than me would sure be appreciated. love, Elaine
Guest guest
Oh Elaine, You can use your rosemary in chicken, fish, soups for cooking, but I love rosemary in the bathwater. It's very invigerating. Tie a cloth filled with fresh rosemary under your running water, then wash off with it. It's wonderful! I had a lovely plant last year all summer, but it died off in the fall. :-( I'm looking for more this year! With my St. Johns last year I made tincs and oils, blends, etc. Wonderful! I've had some difficulty with St. Johns up here though. I had to invest in a pretty good size plant to get it to live. BTW will you take me to the chinese market in Tampa when I come to Treasure Island (Lord willing) this fall? Blessings, Janet
