Guest guest
You can take tons of the stuff without to much adverse effects from either. Again, you have to use your head in cases where someone is extremely ill, but I've never heard of anyone overdosing on either garlic or vit E. Guest guest
When you say " someone who is extremely ill " are you referring to those who are susceptable to bleeding problems? That was my guess since I heard somewhere that a certain (I can't remember what they said the level was) level of Vitamin E taken orally could cause excessive blood thinning. Any truth to that? Guest guest
Not necessarily. I was thinking of a 98 year old woman who was on her last breath in terrible condition with a bare breath on the mirror. When someone is that sick, usually a little of a herbal remedy will go a long ways and you don't need mega doses. Both Garlic and Vit E will thin the blood to some degree and for most Americans, this is not a bad thing but a benefit. I normally recommend 400 IU to 1200 IU for most of my patients depending on body weight. I'd give a heavy man who had a heart condition 3000 up to 5000 IU. More than 5000 under any condition is redundant in my books. I'd heard of one of Doc Schulze's patients who was an 86 year old woman who was taking up to 50 cloves of garlic a day and all she did was improve (very rapidly I might add). Hope this helps.
