Guest guest
Hi Valorie, I have used Cayenne in an emergency too. I had a deep cut to my finger and took cayenne in water orally and put it on the cut. It helped tremendously with shock and bleeding. I had no infection, no redness, no sign of any trouble the entire time it was healing, and it healed fast too. Love, Kristine
Guest guest
Kristine, Thanks for the story. Good point. Yes cayenne is famous for stopping bleeding even if it is severe. You can use powder or tincture and the powder doen't sting ( I think the tincture because of the alcohol would). Yes it is also great for shock. We had a friend almost faint on us. She turned white and her eyes started to roll back into her head. Ian gave her a dropperful of cayenne and she snapped right out of it. The sensation of burning (cayenne never actually burns it just feels hot) was pretty intense and lasts about 15 to 30 minutes. The only thing I've found that even tames it down a little is olive oil or probably another oil would also help only a bit. You just have to jump around and keep moving until it wears off. I remember that all of my attention was on my mouth until the sensation wore off. Guest guest
When I cut my finger, it was to the bone and I went into shock pretty fast, it was a miracle that I remembered to try cayenne as I had never had an opportunity to try what I had learned about it stopping bleeding and shock. I had in fact just bought some African cayenne at a health food store. I did not even taste the cayenne when I took it in water, and I took a lot of it. The shock effect I think, as it normally burns for me pretty bad, even just a little, and I took far more than normal. Then I put my finger tip, which was coming half off into the bag of cayenne and held it tight and over my head. It formed a nice little cocoon over the cut. When we washed it off, it did not start bleeding again. I did not go for stitches, and the wound healed very nicely. I would put cayenne into an emergency kit for sure!
