Guest guest
I have suffered from skull-crushing migraines for 15 1/2 years (or ever since my last one was born). In my case, it is a hormonal thing. Once I started taking herbs for menopause, I noticed the severity of the symptoms lessen a great deal. (I don't get the wavy lights/lines, I have such pressure in my head I have to sleep for three days). I am still fiddling around with what helps me deal with menopause and the hormonal imbalance, but I will tell you what helps me thus far. Every morning I take: Primrose oil (1500 mg) Red Raspberry Alfalfa Red Clover Wild Yam Black Cohosh Royal Jelly (1,000 mg. Don't start that high; I've been taking it for over twenty years.) Cayenne/Garlic I will add Sarsaparilla to this combination as a primary application of this is for hormone imbalance. At the VERY ONSET of a migraine, I take Feverfew, Valerian, and White Willow. Then I brew some very strong tea of catnip, red raspberry, and peppermint. If it goes to the next stage, I rub peppermint oil on the base of my neck. All of these things have served to lessen the severity of my migraines. And I mean to tell you, I get them so bad I've thought shooting my head off would be less painful!
