Hi Peggy,

If no one has told you about this remedy, I thought I would put in my good word for it.

 

Hydrogen peroxide really does an amazing job at killing germs in the throat, mouth and if applied in the ears can stop colds and flus very quickly. I learned about this treatment from Dr. Jon who has been quoted here on this list.

Thank you! I went to the site and found tons of helpful advice.

Hello, My name is Karen Tidwell, But I am known as Lynques (Lynx) on several

boards, and I am new here. I have lurked for several weeks now, first trying

to catch up on all the back posts. I still haven't finished them.

 

I ahve studied herbs for over 25 years now, and one of the first medicines I

ever had complete success with is apple cider vinegar. You see, I used to get

strap throat at least once a year, but sometimes two or three times. I had read

in Folk Medicine, but Jarvis, I believe, that ac vinegar would kill strep

germs. So, I tired of going to the doctor, getting medicine, it wasn't enough,

going back every two weeks for up to two months, all the time feeling very

badly. When I read about the ac vinegar, I decided to try it, and so since

gargling with it made my throat feel so much better, but only for about an hour,

I

gargled with it every hour I was awake. My husband at the time said the cure

was worse than the disease. Was I surprised at how it worked and at how fast.

What usually took two months to heal now took at the most 4 days for me. So, at

that time, I didn't go back to the doctor for strep for a loooonnnnnngggggg

time. not until about 5 years ago. The ac vinegar wasn't helping at that time,

and the doc was getting frustrated and running out of antibiotics to give me.

After he gave me the fourth prescription, he told me I had one of the mutated,

super streps. Oh, joy, oh, fun. Aren't I lucky? Since I studied Dr.

Christopher and later Dr. Shulze, I knew exactly what to take now. What you

call Total Tonic was called Master Tonic by Schulze, way back when. So, instead

of filling the prescription, I stopped by the store on the way home and picked

up horseradish, onions, garlic, ginger, habanero peppers and vinegar. Went

home, brewed it up, strained out about 6 ounces, and let the other just brew for

two weeks. I used about a fourth of an ounce in about one ounce of water, and

gargled a mouthful, spit out, swallow a mouthful, alternating it. It took 7

days, but I got rid of it. By the end of the day, I was feeling much better.

The doc, worried about me, nice man, called me back in to see me. He was

worried about the new medicine. He was so stressed when I told him I didn't

fill the prescription. So he asked me to come in for a culture. I kept taking

it (the vinegar) up to the doctors office, and when he examined me, and took a

culture, there was no strep at all. Was he amazed. And he did know it was

strong stuff I was taking, because when I opened my mouth for the swab, I made

sure I breathed on him! But of course, I started to get a lecture on taking my

life in my hands, and told him, that I went through 3 courses of meds his way,

about 6 weeks worth, and I got rid of it myself in one week, using foods. So I

felt pretty justified.

 

When using a garlic preparation, mix with juice or water. It is very strong,

but gargle every hour you are awake. My kids know how to get rid of strep and

have also taught their friends, so this isn't just an isolated incident.
