More people have a gluten intolerance than is generally known and you could be one of those. Before I'd accept an allergy to grains though, you might want to switch over to Ezekiel Bread as that is made using sprouted grains. Many people have problems digesting grains because of the enzyme inhibitors that accompany them. These are gone in sprouts which is why I'd suggest you try the Ezekiel Bread before testing for allergies. You might also try using Enzyme supplements as well to correct the condition if you are suffering from what the enzyme inhibitors do. Best are the plant enzymes and the ultimate of those are Papaya seeds. Get a ripe organic Papaya from your healthfood store, eat the Papaya and dry out the seeds on your kitchen counter or dining room table. Take one seed with each meal and you should notice a difference within a couple of days if not immediately.

Let me know.

[herbal remedies] a handful/for Ian

Doc,I have been wondering about my diet too, but one thing I've noticed is, I have had relatively few problems during both fall semesters. Last semester was actually a huge improvement for me as i didn't get an ear infection/sinusitis even once. Last spring was the worst of my life healthwise - so much postnasal drip that i was nauseas every morning and all day, heavy headed, achey... impossible to concentrate. (It was great for my GPA) Somewhere during that time I stopped with dairy, and the last month or so before summer my health improved a bit. That's why I've been wondering about wheat lately and I stopped eating breads and stuff a few days ago to see if it helps as much as cutting out dairy. I would say I eat less processed sugars than most people - no soda, drink my tea without sugar, very few sweet snacks. most of my sugar is probably from fruits/juices. I eat a moderate amount of grains/breads usually. no meat/fish. what makes me think the allergies have something to do with my environment is the differences in my health by semester. I was eating the same way last semester, yet I'm much worse now. As for looking at changes from home to college... I got sick often at home too. Every time i caught a cold (which i seemed to have year round except for in the summer), it would turn into ear infections/sinusitis/bronchitis (which is what i have now). but being as the dairy thing helped so much, i'll be more careful to eliminate wheat/grains. thanks so muchmishaFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
