Guest guest Posted March 21, 2001 Report Share Posted March 21, 2001 Hi, I want to ask you all if anyone can suggest anything for my mother. She has fibromyalgia, has had it for 2-3 years. She went on steroids a year or so ago, and now cant get off them. The side effects are terrible, and she wants to get off them, (its prednisone) but whenever she lowers the dose, the pain becomes unbearable. I know she is getting quite depressed. She is quite overweight, and had a full hysterectomy when she was 26, and has been on premarin since. She is now 56. The Chinese doctor she is seeing reckons it could stem from that- her whole system is out of balance. She doesnt live near me, so I recommended she see a natural therapist where she lives, and this Chinese doctor seems great. But they dont seem to incorporate detoxifying into their regime, and that concerns me. I just wrote her a long letter about detoxifying, about having a toxic colon, and that sort of thing.
