This bill is the brother bill to Senate Bill #780 which succesfully passed the Education Committee in the Senate on Tuesday and would give Florida parents the right to refuse "school health services" for their children; This would include psychiatric and psychological services (including dangerous psychiatric drugs) as well. We want to thank all those who helped get the bill passed in the Senate but we need your help again to make this bill a reality and LAW as it must pass both the Senate and House before it can be voted on the floor of each and then sent to the Governor for his signature. We need all of you to call or fax the House Representatives in this committee. It's simple, you call the numbers below, a secretary answers, or an answering machine, and you say, "I would like to leave a message for Representative_____. My name is______ and I'm a Florida resident. Please tell the Representative that I support House Bill #357 on parental consent and I want to see it passed. Thanks." The whole project takes 15 minutes. The key points are: As parents, we must have the right to choose what medical care is best for our children. No one should have the right to administer any health services to our children without our knowledge and consent. I live in Pa. and parents have actually been jailed and had court hearing for NOT giving kids Ritalin. I will dealing with this in Aug. of this yr. as old school records will indicate my son Ryan has been medicated at school in the past. He is not and will not be medicated with any pysh. drugs.
