Guest guest
Hi, I just had an ultrasound and no sign of the 3cm ovarian cyst that was there in December. All gone. I was surprised bcause I have been experiencing similar aching and pain at times, though mostly not much. Maybe it was my bowels or something. But ! I dont know if it was the herbs, castor oil packs, or it just left by itself (they often do apparently) but I learnt a lot, so if I get another I will know what to do. thanks for this wonderful list everyone, I find it so inspiring love peela Auctions - Buy the things you want at great prices. http://auctions./
Guest guest
What herbs did you take? I was on False Unicorn Root, Don Quai, Wild Yam, Chaste tree, then also I took Chapparel and Red Clover and Yellow Dock for Blood cleansing, and some licorice in there somewhere. I have been through 2 and a half 200ml bottles of tincture. I dont know when the cyst went, since I thought it was still there. Last night I spoke to someone who had bad ov. cysts a few months ago and took successfully Licorice and Peony, which is a TCM formula, and I was going to try that next. Guest guest
Hi Peela, I wonder if you could be a little more specific (e.g., you mentioned 2-1/2 200 ml of tincture. Does this mean of each herb you mentioned??? This is very exciting, but I am specifically asking for a friend of mine. She just returned from her doctor today. Her 3 cm ovarian cyst is now 7 cm, and her doctor is very earnest that she have surgery. She, however, is NOT. I forwarded your email to her, but in the meantime she had printed out one I sent her recently which Penny had written (it's in the files). She got the teas that Penny had mentioned but was puzzled about some of the tinctures, as she couldn't find them in the health food store. We were particularly wondering about your friend that you mentioned had BAD ovarian cysts a few months ago. I don't know how large they got, but we were wondering if you had more specifics about the Licorice and Peony she had taken. You mentioned it was a TCM formula, and we don't know what that stands for; perhaps you do???? Anyway, if you or ANYONE else can help shed some additional light on this subject, that would be just wonderful. She is so worried, especially since the doctor is pushing this surgery thing SO much and even recommends that she see another doctor for another opinion, even if it means losing her " business. " Thanks in advance for any help. Guest guest
--- Valerie <rainbow_33434 wrote: > Hi Peela, > > I wonder if you could be a little more specific TCM means Traditional , and the formula of Licorice and Peony is specifically for poly ovarian cyst syndrome, which also has other symptoms of a disrupted hormonal system, such as exessive hair growth, infertility, deeper voice etc. Usually means too much male hormones. But I dont think thats what I had (although my mother did, and had a full hysterectomy at age 26)- theres lots of types of ovarian cysts. Some produce hormones, some dont, and it didnt feel like mine did. Cysts are very common, one book reckons 20% of women at any one time might have one, and most dont show any symptoms so woman dont know they have them. And they USUALLY go away by themselves. I personally dont think I would go for surgery unless the doctor had a strong suspicion is was cancerous, which it usually isnt. Unless there was too much pain. Doctors can be pushy, best to get informed. I had a very unusual period a while back, only 2 weeks since the last, and I suspected the cyst actually burst then, I felt much better for a while. In my herbal studies I learnt that False Unicorn Root is specific for ovarian cysts, and to take 1 or 2 mls of tincture 3 times a day. But because I had just bought my dispensary as I set up my clinic, I just took a whole lot of things with the False Unicorn root- just female balancing herbs such as chaste tree, dong quai and wild yam, licorice, also some hops in one bottle. I made up my own formulations, a little different in each bottle, and I am in Australia, so I cant tell what formulations you may have in your shops over there. One theory I read in several books was that ovarian cysts are a kind of 'second liver', holding toxins that the liver cant process. That makes sense to me, so I took liver herbs- wild yam is good for liver, also dandelion, and also blood cleansers such as chapparell and yellow dock which I mentioned. Basically, if a cyst is the body's way of separating and sealing off a lump of toxins, I figured detoxing was the best way to help the body. I also really went for the castor oil packs, at night usually, bit messy but they feel great. I am sorry if thats not much help. On my tincture bottles there is specific doseage recommendations, so I put as many herbs as I could into each formulation while staying above the minimum doses, and I took the max recommended doseage for False Unicorn. Maybe you could get some herbs sent to you, if you are in the States. good luck, and I am happy to tell you anything else I can, I did do a lot of research love peela Auctions - Buy the things you want at great prices. http://auctions./
Guest guest
TCM = Traditional Maybe she could see a TCM practitioner or herbalist close by for treatment? Sorry, I can't answer your other questions ... Tatjana
Guest guest
Dear Peela, Thank you so much! This is an extremely interesting and informative letter. I have passed it along to my friend already, and I'm anxious to hear what she thinks. > One theory I read in several books was that ovarian > cysts are a kind of 'second liver', holding toxins > that the liver cant process. This theory is so fascinating. My sister is here visiting right now, and she occasionally gets cysts. I read that to her and she was really intrigued. >I am happy to tell you anything else > I > can, I did do a lot of research It sure sounds like you did! Thank you, Peela. This is so nice of you. And I very well may be asking more questions later, so thanks for the offer! Guest guest
Hi Tatjana, > Maybe she could see a TCM practitioner or herbalist > close by for treatment? This is another very good idea. I think given the surgery threat, it's a great idea to check out all the options there are.
