I forgot to ask yesterday. I want to make a tincture with hops and passion flower. Do they work well together in a tincture and if so what would you recommend the amounts I use. I am taking so many vitamins right now that I am having a hard time swallowing all those pills. I can put tinctures in my evening and morning tea. If you could let me know that would be great.

Thanks

Gina

Renee, Thank you. I went to the liqour store to buy some vodka but forgot my id.

Im in my thirtys and my sister actually walked up to the counter and she got it off the shelf. This is my baby sis. They didnt even let us get to the counter and she yelled at us for id my sister pulled hers out and they said to put it away they would not sell to us. I was shocked. I only rarely go in there. Then some really young kid with a bunch of teenie bobbers went in and he came out with a big bag of stuff. I was so insulted and embarrased.

My sister and I went back and only she went in and they told her they cant sell to her. She asked why and they said because I didnt have ID. I wasnt even in the store. So we are going back tomorrow asking for the manager and file a complaint. We called the police and they told us they cant do that.

If she had id that showed she was over 21 they had to sell to her. We told them they wouldnt even look at her id. They said they would stop by there.

I was so embarrassed the lady yelled at us before we even got to the counter. Other people in there looked shocked. I asked my sister if we stunk or something. She said maybe it is because I have an iv in my arm but it is covered. I dont drink the stuff. I use it to make tinctures. But anyway.

That was my adventure with them. I wanted to scream. I have my treatments and I have to make one trip out to get everything done. I live about 15 miles from there so it is a pain to get into town. Maybe I will have dh and i go in after he gets off work and go throw them my id and say that they are the rudest people there. That my baby sister couldnt even by and she is over 30. But they will sell to young kids. Ok now I vented. lol. Thanks for the advice. I will make it when I get the Vodka. I was so excited I had all my herbs out and ready to make my tinctures today. Bummer. I guess I will clean carpets.

Hops and passionflower work well together and some people put valerian

with it. As far as amounts, I used equal parts (in ounces) but it may

not be the norm. ;)

Take good care and have a great day.

Some people are so judgemental. I guess you can also think of it as a

compliment that you both look so young, ;)

Have fun tincturing your herbs.

Take good care and have a great day.

Gina,

I've seen them together in formulas and we use them together in equal amounts for female problems.

Valorie, Thank you. I am working on one for pain and tension. With my MS I am under tension and pain. I also want to help my mother out who will not take herb formulas on a regular basis because she expects overnight sucess. She also wont walk or move. I am trying to help her as well with her MS but she is giving into the depression. I on the other hand have been depressed for over 16 yrs and I refuse to be anylonger. After this past few months I have found that there is so much out there the earth has to offer me that I have always taken it for granted and I will no longer be a part of my own self destruction. I put on over a hundred lbs in the past 3 yrs and now they finally figure out why. Now I will be healthy and strong and enjoy my life.

I feel that if I can show this to my mother soon she will have hope without a wheelchair. I know I hate to tell people about my weight and they dont believe I am that heavy because I dont show it like that. I feel I do but I really dont. I figured out after all these years everyone was right Move your Body and your Body will lose its burdens. I am a true believer about the hops and passion flower it has helped me over the past 6 months. So I figure tinctures are strong so I will make it and give it my mother who will put it in her tea at night or I can get her hubby to. Then maybe she will see it takes time for your body to reject all the bad chemicals she puts in it and accept the natural things it is wanting. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry so long Im on a wired spreed tonight after my treatment. Im an energizer bunny that I wish the darn batteries would die. LOL

Valorie, Thank you. I know things have changed a lot for me. I started saying daily and nightly my affirmations form a book I bought. Heal your body by Louise Hay. I just love it. It has helped me greatly. Your mind is a powerful tool. I wanted to badly to tell this young girl that was having a blood patch and spinal tap done yesterday that if she only would calm her mind it would hurt so much. She kept crying, screaming, and moving so much that she is was in severe pain. I know when I had my spinal tap done that it is going to be very painful because I have a very curved spine with tons of arthritis so he kept hitting the bones and nerves. But I kept doing my deep breathing and self meditation and I stayed calm. It hurt but not as bad because I learned to control my mind and breathing during things like that. My mother had gone with me and she said the doctor kept looking at her as if I were not with it or something because I wasnt going through the roof. He kept asking me should I stop and I said no just keep trying to find it. He told me at my next visit I am the only patient that didnt leave crying becuase of pain. He does a great job but he works will damaged nerves and spines so they are always in severe pain. I just keep up my attitude and my body will heal itself with the help of little old nature. LOL. I would love to have the nerve recipe.

Thanks

Gina

Dear Gina,

You're more than welcom! Your attitude is a big part of getting well so continue those positive thoughts. There is a story that Dr. Schultz tells about his mentor, Dr. Christopher. Dr. Christopher is to have gotten up each morning at which point he would go over to the window, look out and say in a loud, enthusiastic voice "IT"S GREAT TO BE ALIVE!!" Try it. I've done it and felt better. Scientists have found that the thoughts you have produce neuro peptides and these in turn produce a positive or negative chemical change in the body making you feel better or worse. SO HERE'S TO THE POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

There is a Nerve Regeneration formula that I can post if it is not already in the files.
