Hi John,

I don't know if anyone else has answered on this one or not.

My first impression is that it is a disease or he is watering it too much.

As far as recommendations is concerned, I could only suggest an idea that I would try but not being a hortaculturist, I don't know for sure. I would sprinkle some MSM powder around the base and water it once and then not for another week. Penny has had a lot of experience growing plants and may have some better ideas.

Best,

Doc

[herbal remedies] Cactus

I know this is probably not the place for this question, but Idon't know who might know better even though it is a little offtopic. I have a friend that has a cactus in serious trouble. It'sa 35 year old cactus. It's about 6'5" and looks like it's dyingfrom the bottom up and some of the higher parts are even dying alittle from the tips in. Anyone have clue what could be theproblem? My initial reaction was that it was a disease. Nowanother question. What does he do if it is a disease. Every dayhe watches it shrivels and turns black a little more. Any advicewould be appreciated.Get email at your own domain with Mail. http://personal.mail./Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. The cacti probably would grow well in the desert area but not here where I

live, it is too wet, and wet and wetter. Tried some cactus a few times and

they rotted. Maybe it's just me!? Patty

The too much love is OK. It's usually too much water that is the problem. I have the best luck with the cacti I ignore the most ;o)

Thanks Doc, I am not too good at growing Cactus, but will give it a shot. I give them too much love, and they don't like it. Patty

Try soaking in hot/warm epsom salts, Total Draw Powder (in the files) and then later Total healing powder (poultices) or the first aid herbal salve.

Hi,I just joined. I've often found that herbs or vitamins have done so much more for me and my family than doctors.I have a question, if someone has something that could help I'd appreciate it.A couple of months ago I was working in my yard and got stuck by a cactus. It's one of those 'good luck' cactus with the long thorns. I didn't think much of it, but it still hurts. I got it on my right hand, first finger knuckly, which is always used, as I'm always typing or using my hands. At first it swoll up. I took Vitamin C and a few other things, echinatia.. even bee pollen. But that knuckle is still a bit red and always hurts. Any advise?TheaFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
