Guest guest
Hi Valerie, Sorry for the delay in answering you, but I've been inundated with e-mails and trying to answer them all. This kind of question is definitely OK to put on the list so my answer here will be CC'd back. I personally would stay away from any hybrid and go only with Heirloom seeds. Penny may have some from some Papayas that I gave her once and they are definitely heirloom and organic. Since she is much closer to you than I am I suggest you contact her first and see if she's willing to send you a couple to plant and then raise your own Papayas. It's the best way to go and they grow quickly. I have a small hoard that I brought with me from Florida which I intend to raise in my green house when it is finally built. If Penny can not spare any, let me know and I'll see if I can. Other than that, I suggest you check around as they are quite prolific throughout Florida. Sometimes you see people growing them in their yards and just going to waste and you can knock on their doors and ask to take one or two. I'd then plant all the seeds to grow your own, and you'll never want for papaya seeds again. Much love, Ian PS. Penny loves to trade, and there are several other Floridians on the list who might want to trade as well. But I don't know if I should be sending it to the group. Since youare the knowledgable one on this subject, I keep hounding you, I know. Ichecked all the organic seed places I could find, but you would think Iwould have thought to check Florida! HA! Well, finally it occurred to meto do a search for Florida. However, does this place I found actuallysound organic?Organic Florida Papaya- Available November thru April Locally grown Florida hybrids of Hawaiian fruit graded for topsweetness. It's called a HYBRID and it mentions HAWAII, where they are now growingGE papaya. It doesn't mean it IS GE, however. How does that sound toyou????? I would love it to be real, because I would just go ahead andorder the 12 lbs. and I would dry all the seeds at once, and scoop outand freeze the fruit for the future. The site LOOKS good though. http://www.starorganic.com/selection.aspWhile I was out for 2-1/2 hours today, that was when the P.O. decidedwould be a good time to deliver your package! ) So I told them I willpick it up, because that way I can have it for sure and can start myliver detox on Sunday! I feel very good about this! I'm really lookingforward to it.Thank you!Valerie--Today's subliminal thought is:
