Guest guest
I found this for you too: A good " base " for herbal smokes is mugwort, and it's tasty all by itself. Gives most people a gentle buzz. Some nice things to add to it are lemon balm, coltsfoot, and mullein (all good for your lungs). If you smoke to relax, try damiana and/or skullcap. These two are great for insomnia and nervousness, and are remarkably effective when smoked. Dried herbs burn at a hotter temp than tobacco does, so a pipe is a must -- the smoke cools a bit as it flows up the stem. I've tried herbal cigarettes and they are way too hot, too damaging to the mucus membranes, IMHO. But then, I don't inhale anything into my lungs unless I'm smoking to get rid of congestion. Otherwise, I just siphon the smoke up through my sinuses (this is the way the Native Americans smoke ceremonial tobacco). The active principles go right through the mucus membranes in your mouth, sinuses and nose, right into your bloodstream. Happy smoking!
