First, thanks June for the files info. Wow! What info. But, I'm am

experiencing several problems that I'll ask for help with. I will

tell you that I have made an appointment with a local dermatologist at

the insistance of my dear husband, but can't be seen until May 23rd.

Doing some medical research on the net, though, perhaps I ought to be

MORE concerned.

Problem #1. I have a wine colored spot that has appeared on the far

right of my forehead. It is growing very slowly. There is concern by

my husband that it is melanoma. I also have at least one growth on my

scalp that is raised, bumpy and peels, though it is not sore. I

expect it is probably a basil (sp) carcinoma. My facial mole I've had

forever occasionally now becomes puffy, but then normalizes. I've

always had " problem " skin, though less so now since using herbal

facial cleansers.

Problem #2. My hair is waist length, cutting is not an option. But,

my scalp is extremely oily and has pimples that develop often. Itching

is a problem. I have tried various shampoos, rinses, both home-made

herbals and off the shelf. Nothing has helped. Today I washed my

hair with Dermarest and Sea Salt with a white vinegar rinse. The ends

are, of course, dry because of the length. The oiliness at the roots

require me to wash my hair every other day if I plan to go out

anywhere. My hair is thin and is worn up when I am out of the house

as I wear a head=covering. I am fair skinned with blue eyes. A prime

candidate for skin cancer.

Any ideas between now and May 23rd?

Thanks for your help and thoughts. Janet E.

Hi Janet, You may want to try a shampoo and conditioner with tree tea oil in it. I have short hair- but have some of the same problems in my sclap as you do. If you can't find this shampoo already made - you can get unscented usually at the health food store and add your own tree tea oil. I put 2 tablespoons in a 16oz. bottle of shampoo and it seems to work. Another option for your hair is Rosemary. You can infuse a tea and use it as a rinse. Wash your hair covering after you use it and before using it again- it could harbor dirt and bactria even if it smells and looks clean. I know I have read something about a cream for moles that change- but can't think of it right now. Is the wine colored spot raised at all??Usually changes in the skin that are cancer are raised a bit. I will look for the cream for your mole and get back to you.
